Join us at Piedmont Park as we explore the lives of children in the Bible who displayed a heart for Jesus. Heart for Jesus Vacation Bible School will highlight characteristics that will help children grow in the desire to serve for Jesus. This year's Vacation Bible School will also include a special event for middle schoolers as well as an interactive workshop for parents. Raising Resilient Kids is a parenting workshop presented by Rhonda Spencer-Hwang, DrPH. Dr. Spencer is an Associate Professor and Epidemiologist at the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University. She has conducted revolutionary research on the link between adverse childhood experiences, health practices, and resilience in centenarians. She has shared her findings in her recent book, Raising Resilient Kids. Dr. Spencer will present virtually and facilitate in person table discussions and activities to help parents raise resilient kids in today's ever changing environment.
